Super Glue
Q. What should I do if I stick my fingers together with Loctite Super Glue?
A.Bonded skin should be peeled apart using soap, hot water and a blunt edge e.g. a teaspoon handle. Do not attempt to pull the skin apart. In case of eye contact, the eye should be bathed with copious amounts of water. If contamination is severe, medical assistance should be sought to avoid damage in separating bonded tissue.

Hot Melt Glue Gun

Repair Express Power Putty
Q. Should I wear gloves when I'm using Repair Express?
A. Loctite Repair Express Power Putty is non-irritant so can be used without the need for gloves. This means there's less messing around before you can get down to the job in hand. A. Loctite Repair Express Power Putty is ideal for emergency pipe repairs, simply turn off the water pressure and dry the pipe, then mould a band of Loctite Repair Express Power Putty around the pipe to seal the hole, once its cured you can return the water pressure. And because Loctite Repair Express Power Putty will withstand temperatures from –30 up to +150°C you can use in on hot and cold pipes.

Q. I want to use Loctite Repair Express Power Putty in the garden. Do I have to paint it to make it weatherproof?
A. No. Loctite Repair Express Power Putty is totally weatherproof once cured, even if you don’t intend to paint over it. But if you want a decorative finish, Loctite Repair Express Power Putty can be painted, varnished, stained with all kinds off finishes either water or solvent based.

Q. How can I remove Loctite Repair Express Power Putty once it’s cured? say if I’ve made a mistake or I just want to move something.
A. Although Loctite Repair Express Power Putty is resistant to most solvents it can be softened with Nitromors All Purpose Paint & Varnish Remover. Apply a little Nitromors to the putty and leave for 10 minutes, this should be long enough to soften the putty making it easy to scrape away. If it doesn’t all come off in one go, repeat the process.

Q. If I haven’t mixed enough Loctite Repair Express Power Putty to fill a hole can I apply more over the top of already cured putty?
A. You can apply Loctite Repair Express Power Putty as many times as you like, it will stick to itself and you can build up as much as you want.

Q. If I have mixed up too much Loctite Repair Express Power Putty can I slow its curing down until I find another job to use it on?
A. Loctite Repair Express Power Putty cures by chemical reaction, once you have mixed it you can’t stop or slow it curing, and the putty cannot be reworked once its starts to harden.

Q. On a cold day Loctite Repair Express Power Putty seems a lot harder to mix together, can I do anything to make it easier?
A. You can make Loctite Repair Express Power Putty easier to mix by simply warming it in you’re hands first, this will only take a few minutes and it will make it softer and easier mix together.

Q. I want to use Loctite Repair Express Power Putty to fill small holes in a old door I’m restoring, what’s the best way to prepare Loctite Repair Express Power Putty before finishing?
A. When you require a quality finish, Loctite Repair Express Power Putty can be easily sanded until smooth, use really fine sandpaper to achieve a truly smooth finish.

Q. I’m repairing a doorframe with Loctite Repair Express Power Putty where the
hinges came off, can I screw straight in the repair or do I have to drill pilot holes first?
A. You can drill pilot holes if you like, but Loctite Repair Express Power Putty is easy to screw straight into, even with hand tools and it would crack or split.

Q. I've used Repair Express and it just wouldn't stick the metal dish to my ceramic tile?
A. There are a couple of reasons why Repair Express may not be working. Here are some tips at improving the likelihood it will work. Firstly, make sure that both the dish and the tile are clean, free from grease and dust and thoroughly dry. If you are in a bathroom, it may help to do the job when you're sure there isn't a build up of condensation in the room. Secondly, it may help to strap the dish to the wall with DUCK tape whilst you wait the ten minutes for the Repair Express to set. Because room conditions vary, the ten minute wait may need to be extended to 20 mins. Thirdly, don't touch the dish whilst it's drying or place anything on the dish for 24hrs. If it still isn't working, you may need to "roughen" up the side of the dish you are adhering to the wall. Use a piece of wire wool to achieve this. This should help create a key to which the Repair Express can stick. You may want to do this to the area that will be hidden on the ceramic tile too.
